You say summer, I say Balaton! Balaton Sound: The biggest party of the “Hungarian sea”
For the Hungarian people, the main touristic destination traditionally is the biggest lake of the country, the Lake Balaton, or in its popular name, the “HungarianSea”. Nowadays, it’s not only the inland tourism’s main attraction, but it is the second most popular destination for the foreign tourists after Budapest, the capital city of Hungary.

The capital city of electronic music, at the shores of Balaton: the Balaton Sound festival at Zamárdi.
The city of Zamárdi is well known by the Hungarian people and the lovers of Lake Balaton. This is one of the most attractive cities of the southern shore, everybody wants to take a vacation, or have been taken their vacation here. The easily reachable, wonderful Zamárdi is not only known by its beach.
Along with the water, the guests can find varieties of programs: lots of sport opportunities, excellent restaurants, or even hiking on the wooden hills nearby on foot, bike or on horseback are available in the whole season. From the gazebo of the “Kő” mountain a wonderful panorama can be seen of the Tihany peninsula, on a clear day you can see the shining water-plane from Kenese to Badacsony, or to the south, the Somogy hills. The hills’ vineyards, surrounding the city have excellent wines, waiting for the tourists.
From 2007 this idyllic and attractive sight has enriched with another piece. From this date Hungary’s biggest festival organizer company, the Sziget Szervezőiroda started a new, exclusive electronic music festival here. A party that visited by the lovers of this genre, even from distant countries to spend 4 unforgettable days on the shore of the HungarianSea. Zamárdi has become the location, so 2014 is the 8th time when the electronic music tramps next to the Balaton – You’d better not miss it!
The crush has become one of the most successful Hungarian festivals; the Balaton Sound is visited by more and more people from countless countries. This year’s party will be unforgettable: the multiple world leader DJ, Armin van Buuren, the hot DJ-couple Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, or the Australian hit maker duo, the Nervo. Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren will be on the main stage of the Balaton Sound together, and Datsik, the Clean Bandit will be there; Feed Me and the Hardrock Sofa will come with a DJ set. The Bassjackers, the Sigma, Scarlett Etienne, the Warieka and the HVOB formation will be there on the festival too.
…and all of that in the unique scenery of the wonderful Balaton. Prepare for the adventure!
